Dr John Norcini is the President Emeritus of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education, Research (FAIMER®) and Research Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Upstate Medical University, and a Fellow of Presence (a center at Stanford Medical School). Prior to FAIMER, Dr Norcini held a number of positions at the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has more than 200 publications, lectured and taught in more than 45 countries, and is on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals. He is an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and the Academy of Medical Educators and has received numerous awards including the Karolinska Prize for Research in Medical Education.
