The effect of mental illness stigma on persons with lived experiences of mental illness condition is said to be far worse than living with mental illness conditions itself, when stigma tends to paint individuals in a negative light by virtue of being associated with mental health \u2018labels\u2019. In this talk, we will unpack how various forms of stigma are consequences of various societal factors, history and particularly of cultural values that shape \u2018what matters most\u2019. How have changing lifestyles, values and priorities influenced young people today?
