We provide comprehensive assessments and holistic treatments for patients requiring acute psychiatric care. We also have a 24-hour admission service for patients with psychiatric emergencies and crisis admissions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This ward is specifically designed with a ward milieu to help the recovery of our patients with mental disorders. In order to actively rehabilitate our patients, facilities like our multi-sensory room and kitchen help our patients to regain their activities of daily living. Regular activities and meetings run by our health professionals also help them to get well faster.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of the types of conditions we see include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anxiety Disorders<\/li>\n<li>Adjustment Reaction<\/li>\n<li>Depression<\/li>\n<li>Bipolar Disorders<\/li>\n<li>Schizophrenia<\/li>\n<li>Organic Psychiatric Disorder<\/li>\n<li>Mania<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A wide range of treatments is available within our premises, including pharmacotherapy, psychological therapy and electroconvulsive therapy. Treatments are holistically tailored for every patient.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We co-manage patients with both medical and psychiatric conditions with our medical and surgical colleagues. The ward team works closely with occupational therapists, medical social workers, case managers, psychologists. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuh.com.sg\/umc\/about-us\/about-us\/department-of-psychological-medicine\/clinical-services\/liaison-psychiatry.html\">Consultation-Liaison<\/a> and the outpatient service to provide a holistic experience for our patients.
