Job Description
The Senior Executive will work closely with the Undergraduate Education Director, Dr Cyrus Ho, to coordinate the undergraduate education programme for the Phase 4 Psychiatry Clinical Posting. This programme is designed to equip medical students with a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric principles and clinical practice. Key responsibilities include managing elective student postings to ensure meaningful exposure to mental health care, administering the Phase IV final MBBS MCQ examination, supporting education research initiatives, and overseeing financial administration for the education budget. This role is integral to maintaining the programme’s high standards and ensuring its smooth and effective execution.
Job Scope
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the undergraduate education programme for Phase 4 psychiatry clinical posting.
- Plan and manage elective student postings.
- Serve as the anchor administrator for the Phase IV final MBBS MCQ examination.
- Prepare and manage resources, including learning materials and simulated patients.
- Handle finance administration for the education curriculum budget.
- Assist in planning and conducting education research.
Job Specification / Requirements
- Education: At least Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience: Preferably 3 years of related work experience in education, administration, or event management.
- Skills:

- Strong communication, coordination, and project/event management abilities.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Technologically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom.
- Keen attention to detail, trustworthy, and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Salary and Remuneration
The salary is inclusive of CPF and includes a 13th-month bonus. The contract is for at least one year with the chance of extension. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Comprehensive benefits will be provided in alignment with NUS policies.

Research Assistant

Job Description
The Research Assistant (RA) will work on research projects under Dr Cyrus Ho from the Department of Psychological Medicine. One project explores the neurobiological basis of mood disorders using multimodal brain imaging techniques, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Another project examines the effects of probiotic supplementation in older adults with memory impairments to determine its potential in slowing cognitive decline.
Job Scope
- Plan and coordinate the research project(s).
- Assist in subject recruitment, accompany subjects for fMRI scans and perform portable fNIRS scans on subjects. Carry out groundwork for research activities.
- Analyse the study data
- Prepare manuscripts for publication
- Work on additional projects as requested by Dr Cyrus Ho
Job Specification / Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s in Life Science or Bioinformatics/Biomedical engineering or Computing with an interest in biological sciences/Neuroscience
- Good writing, presentation and communication skills
- Willing to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Learn how to do image processing and analysis of fMRI and fNIRS data with guidance
- Knowledge and application of statistics and biostatistics; able to analyse data using software such as SPSS.
- Knowledge of machine-learning techniques and past manuscript writing is a bonus.
