Women’s Emotional Health Service (WEHS) is a programme that aims to provide personalised care when you are experiencing emotional issues or distress during difficult periods of your life in pregnancy, first postnatal year, foetal loss (miscarriages and/or stillbirths) and gynaecological cancer. The WEHS team provides integrated care management services through its collaboration between obstetricians, family physicians, gynaecology oncologists and community psychosocial service providers.

WEHS seeks to recognise and detect depression and other emotional distress to provide early intervention. Emotional distress has been shown to have a negative effect on mother and baby and on one’s recovery from physical illness. The earlier one seeks treatment, the better the treatment outcome will be!
