Brief Abstract:
The early postpartum period is a stressful transitional period for new parents, and there is lack of continuity of care provided to parents to help them adapt to parenthood in the early postpartum period. The speaker will share her experience on developing and testing various psychosocial interventions for new parents in the perinatal period. The preliminary results from the ongoing/completed randomized controlled trials will be shared. Future recommendations for both research and clinical practice would be open for discussion.
