Function\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The function of the thyroid gland relates to the type of parenchymal cells it contains<\/li>\r\n<li>Besides understanding the main functions of the thyroid gland, it is also important to realise that the thyroid\u00a0gland is an\u00a0<em>endocrine\u00a0<\/em>organ, and therefore part of a system of regulatory mechanisms<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>III.
