55 year old man with fever and cough productive of copious foul-smelling greenish sputum
Several large and smaller areas of irregular pale consolidation are seen in both lobes. The largest lesion is an abscess with central cavitation lined by suppurative material and a shaggy necrotic wall. The pleura is not involved.
