Continuing Education and Training

The Department of Pathology offers short Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses designed for:

Academia:
  • To equip individuals involved in tissue-based research with foundational knowledge of the various types of tissue on which research techniques can be applied.
  • To enable participants to recognize both normal, non-cancerous, and cancerous tissues under the microscope.
Biomedical / Pharmaceutical Industry:
  • To collaborate with the pharmaceutical industry to develop customized courses tailored to the specific needs of our industrial partners.

In 2022, the department launched its inaugural CET course on Histology and Laboratory Techniques. This was followed by a second run in a blended format (asynchronous online and synchronous live sessions) and a third run in July 2023, which was customized for the pharmaceutical industry.
