Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery in Singapore, Emeritus Professor Pho performed the first thumb replantation in 1977.<\/p><p>He established the Department of Hand Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital in 1991, and since then has been a mentor to two generations of hand surgeons in Singapore.
