Designed by Ms Umeko Tan Zhi Yun (Laboratory Executive, Department of Paediatrics, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine) as part of the Crazy Socks 4 Docs 2025 campaign.
While I was thinking about what to design for the socks challenge, I was also chatting with my secondary school friends who are graduating from university. We were talking about how much we’ve grown older and were reminiscing about the past. Hence, inspired by that, I decided to draw the iconic dragon playground. The red checkered pattern on the dragon is meant to represent the brick on the actual playground and the different colored rings are part of the dragon’s obstacle course.
What is Crazy Socks 4 Docs?
Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day is held every year on the first Friday of June. This campaign raises awareness for the mental health of all within the healthcare industry – from doctors, nurses and allied health professionals, to administrative and ancillary staff.
