The Whole Life Approach to Population Health Symposium will gather leading researchers from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and the School of Clinical Medicine, University of Cambridge. This is our fourth annual joint research meeting between our schools.
This year’s theme will address how behavioral and environmental factors throughout life influence disease risk and outcomes. We will have updates from large birth, adulthood and old age cohort studies from both Singapore and UK. Professor Gordon Smith and Associate Professor Chong Yap Seng will address factors from birth and infancy, Professor Nick Wareham and Associate Professor Tai E Shyong will address diabetes epidemiology, and Professor Kay-Tee Khaw and Professor Koh Woon Puay will address the latest findings from elderly populations.
More important, this symposium is a platform to cultivate friendships and cooperation between the researchers and students of our two schools.
For faculty and students of NUS Medicine and the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH).
