in the academic and real-world setting.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, understanding the unique needs of the current medical professional, the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies\u2019(NUS Nursing) Bachelor of Science (Nursing Practice) (Part-Time) programme is now made more accessible with a curriculum designed specifically for part-time students.<\/p>\n<p>Working professionals of today now have the option to pursue their nursing degree, while still maintaining full-time employment. This is because at ALCNS, we have taken into consideration the time demands of our part-time students. As such, the classes for our BSc (Nursing Practice) degree are scheduled between 1800 to 2100 hrs on weekdays and 0800 to 1300 hrs on weekends, with each semester following the NUS academic calendar which consists of 13 instructional weeks.<\/p>\n<p>We are committed to providing uncompromised learning experiences to students of every background. Talking about her experience in our hybrid programme, she says, \u201cPursuing a degree has been my goal since I graduated from the poly, but financial and time constraints hindered me. In the case of Samuel Wong Wei Seng who needed to continue working in order to fund his education, our part-time programme allowed him to perform at his best in both settings. \u201cDespite its rigour, the programme gives me flexibility to learn at my own time and pace,\u201d he states. With our support, Samuel will be receiving the Lim Siew Foong Nursing Excellence Prize as a top student.
