NUSSociety & Mind Science Centre Age Well Everyday Webinar

The NUSSociety is organising a webinar for NUSS members and their guests on the Age Well Everyday (AWE) Programme by Mind Science Centre on 13 Aug, 4.30pm – 6pm, via Zoom.

We invite you to join us & Professor Kua Ee Heok, who will be speaking about the Age Well Everyday (AWE) programme, with a focus on healthy lifestyle, exercise, diet, and mindfulness practice.

AWE is a structured dementia prevention community programme for seniors and their caregivers. The below segments are identified from research findings from the Jurong Ageing Study, in a Singaporean elderly cohort.

  • Exercise
  • Mindfulness Practice
  • Music Reminiscence
  • Horticulture Therapy
  • Health Education

AWE is designed to delay cognitive deterioration, reduce anxiety and depression, and increase socialization – thereby delaying the onset of dementia and improving the quality of life of seniors.

A healthy body is a healthy mind. This is even more important during this COVID-19 period, especially seniors who may be staying home more often.

Seniors and caregivers who are interested to join the AWE programme at community centres can email pcmbox6@nus.edu.sg to find out more. Learn how to reduce the risk of dementia though preventative habits and lifestyles!

For non-members, a copy of the video will be uploaded after the webinar shortly.
