The World Health Summit 2015 is taking place this week in Berlin, Germany. An annual conference of the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centres, Universities and National Academies, the World Health Summit (WHS) is organised in collaboration with national academies of science in more than 67 countries and will see 250 speakers take the stage over 3 days from 11 – 13 October 2015.
Held once a year, the WHS has grown into the world’s most prominent forum for addressing global health issues. The WHS’s academic backbone is provided by the M8 Alliance, a collaborative network made up of leading international medical universities, research institutions and the Interacademy Medical Panel (IAMP).
Central topics for the 2015 WHS include: Positioning Health in the Post-2015 Development Agenda, Medical Education, The Digital Health Revolution, and Climate Change and Health.
The National University Health System (NUHS) and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine) are represented by eight faculty members at the Summit.
