Earth Hour 2016

Published: 02 Mar 2016

Earth Hour is a global movement uniting people to protect the planet. Towards the end of March every year, Earth Hour brings together communities across the world to celebrate a commitment to the planet by switching off lights for one designated hour.

Earth Hour 2016 falls on Saturday, March 19, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. It aims to draw global attention to the urgent need to stop climate change, by appealing to everyone to play a part.

The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is the only NUS school that has actively participated in Earth Hour since 2013. This year, we will observe Earth Hour by switching off all non-critical and non-essential lighting in these buildings – MD1, MD 3, MD 4, MD 5, MD 6 (CeTM), MD 7, MD 9, MD 10, MD 11 and Level 11, NUHS Tower Block.
