Clinical attire for medical students of NUS Medicine

Published: 03 Jun 2015

For the first time, the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine will be introducing clinical attire for its medical students! With effect from June 2015, medical students who are embarking on their clinical posting years will be allowed to wear the attire in the hospitals. The attire will help to identify the wearers as NUS Medicine students to healthcare staff, patients and hospital visitors, as well as general members of the public.

The design was created in conjunction with feedback from various stakeholders including clinicians and our medical students. The attire will evoke a sense of pride in our students as healthcare professionals in training.

While the School has guidelines pertaining to the usage of this clinical attire, students are reminded that they will also be subjected to the guidelines of the hospital that they are posted to regarding such attire.
