Interns will work alongside faculty members, researchers, and healthcare professionals to gain real-world experience in applying computational methods to healthcare challenges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The programme is designed to provide hands-on experience in biomedical informatics while preparing students for potential careers or further studies in this rapidly evolving field.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>*Please note that MSc in Biomedical Informatics students are not eligible for this internship.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>\n\t\tInternship Guidelines\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Interns need to find a mentor from the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/dbmi\/faculty\/\">DBMI faculty <\/a>prior to submitting their forms. The mentor will discuss the internship details with the intern and define the Research Training Program. Please complete\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/dbmi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2025\/07\/DBMI-Internship-Annex-B.pdf\">ANNEX B<\/a>\u00a0after discussing with the mentor and send the form to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:dbmi_internships@nus.edu.sg\">dbmi_internships@nus.edu.sg.<\/a><\/p>\n\t\t<nav>\n\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li data-index=\"0\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\">Local Students\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li data-index=\"1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\">International Students\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/nav>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLocal Students\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Once approved by the mentor, local students must apply for the local internship <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/j433Dszizs\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The duration of the internship must be at least 3 months and may extend up to a maximum of 12 months. A stipend will not be offered unless specifically funded by the supervisor.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No remote internships are allowed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please note that this internship program does <b>not<\/b> qualify as a credit-bearing professional internship.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tInternational Students\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Once accepted by the mentor, international students are required to apply for <strong>TEP (Training Employment Pass)<\/strong>. Please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/dbmi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2025\/07\/DBMI-Internship-Annex-A.pdf\">ANNEX A<\/a> for details. International students must also submit the required documents listed in <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/dbmi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2025\/07\/DBMI-Internship-Annex-A.pdf\">ANNEX A<\/a> to <a href=\"mailto:dbmi_internships@nus.edu.sg\">dbmi_internships@nus.edu.sg<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the TEP application process will take approximately <b>8 to 10 weeks<\/b>, and the Pre-Employment Screening Clearance will require an additional <b>4 to 6 weeks<\/b> for completion.
