Students gain core skills in data management, large language models, biomedical data analysis, and medical decision support systems. The program also cultivates competencies in evidence-based clinical decision-making, effective communication, strategic leadership, and entrepreneurship. Graduates emerge equipped to use data effectively, enhance patient outcomes through data management and analytics, and lead innovative clinical projects. They play a vital role in advancing healthcare practices through technology-driven solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All first-year medical students in the coming academic year 2023\/2024 are required to complete this Minor during their undergraduate candidature.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Curriculum<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Minor consists of five courses, two of which &#8211; <em>Digital Literacy in Healthcare<\/em> and <em>Data Literacy in Healthcare<\/em> &#8211; are embedded within the NUS Common Curriculum for Healthcare Professional Education.<\/p>\n<p>The comprehensive curriculum ensures that students gain proficiency in using data effectively, enhancing patient outcomes through data management and analytics while fostering seamless information flow across healthcare IT systems.
