Brief Introduction

Dr. Judice Koh has more than 20 years’ experience in Data Science and Computational Biology, with specialization in Artificial intelligence in Drug Discovery. Judice received her PhD in Computer Science from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2007. She completed her postdoctoral training in University of Toronto, Canada and subsequently assumed several pivoting roles in Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) and Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC), A*STAR. Currently, she is also the co-founder of a Biotech company, and scientific advisor to Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI).

Judice’s research focuses on AI and data analytic applications in drug discovery. Her expertise is in integrating AI with high-throughput microscopy to quantify cellular phenotypes in large-scale drug screens. Judice has published more than 30 research papers, including first author papers in Cell, PNAS and Nucleic Acids Research and co-author papers in Science, Nature methods, Nature Communications and Cancer Discovery. She has 2 patents to her credit.

M.Tech in Software Engineering, Institute of System Science, NUS, 2001

B.Sc in Computational Science with Chemistry, NUS, 1996 

Awards 

Lead PI for A*STAR GAP proposal. “Cellular Protein-Chemical Interaction profiling platform for Drug Discovery and Drug Target Analysis”. SGD499k for 2 years. Status: Novel platform established. Completed in Mar 2022. Platform spin-off as a Biotech startup.
