Over 700 attendees gathered at the recent IMAGINE AI 2024 conference, a collaborative effort by Singapore's leading healthcare clusters (NUHS, NHG, SingHealth), medical schools (NUS Yoo Yong Lin School of Medicine, NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, DUKE-NUS Medical School), and the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. This premier event brought together leading minds in healthcare and artificial intelligence, featuring around 60 local and international speakers.

Key highlights included the unveiling of MiSSi, a robotic helper designed to healthcare workers at NUH. Powered by AI, MiSSi can provide information on medication and interact with both nurses and patients. In addition, SSHSPH announced the launch of a new Centre for AI in Public Health, focusing on developing predictive AI models to improve public health outcomes.

Other notable advancements showcased at the conference included CHAMP, a WhatsApp chatbot enhancing patient care for chronic illnesses, and the growing adoption of RUSSELL-GPT, a generative AI tool empowering NUHS staff with improved efficiency and decision-making.

This year's IMAGINE AI 2024 demonstrated the transformative potential of AI in revolutionizing healthcare delivery, from enhancing patient care and improving operational efficiency to advancing public health initiatives.
