team behind the Patient Reported Indicator Surveys (PaRIS) initiative recently published a commentary in The Lancet Primary Care&#8217;s inaugural issue. With complex, multiple chronic conditions becoming increasingly prevalent among patients across the globe, a shift to a comprehensive, whole-person approach which supports person-centred care has now become more crucial than ever. Thus, health systems should include patient experience as part of performance assessment metrics, which are captured by Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).<\/p><p>NUS Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) has been a part of the PaRIS initiative, signalling a major step forward in the shift towards person-centred care in the primary care context.
