Programme Highlights
In the last decade, significant advances have been made in our understanding of the molecular and cellular control of immune responses. These discoveries are now being translated into the design and testing of immunotherapeutic interventions for a range of diseases including cancer, autoimmunity, respiratory and infectious diseases.
In this course, participants will acquire knowledge and skills in both immunology and its translation to current immunotherapeutics. Participants will learn about the research process, from the fundamental discoveries at the forefront of immunological research, to the application of novel interventional immune-based therapies.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the mechanisms of immune response in disease pathogenesis
- Identify appropriate immune monitoring techniques/tools for assessing immune responses
- Describe the principles underlying key immunotherapeutic and their clinical applications
- Interpret clinical immunological tests and outcomes
- Evaluate the potential of emerging strategies of immunotherapy for target diseases
Benefits of Attending
This course allows the learners (e.g. healthcare, pharmaceutical & scientific research professionals) to have a comprehensive understanding of fundamental immunology concepts and their clinical applications.
Learners will critically analyze and interpret important clinical/research outcomes, which will in turn influence their practices for better provision of services to the patients or customers. In addition, the course provides a good opportunity for leaners to engage scientists and clinicians who are currently active in both immunological research and clinical immunotherapeutic practice.
Who Should Attend
Healthcare, pharmaceutical & scientific research professionals
Trainer Profile
