The accelerator is self-shielded and equipped with 6 separate target positions. The cyclotron supports dual beam operation, allowing CIRC infrastructure to operate efficiently and reliably under high-demand conditions.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/circ\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Radioisotope-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-961\" srcset=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/circ\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Radioisotope-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/circ\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Radioisotope.jpg 462w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Radiochemistry Research &amp; Manufacturing<\/h2>\n<p>Our facility features two GMP-compliant cleanrooms dedicated to the synthesis and formulation of a wide range of radiopharmaceuticals. All product dispensing is performed aseptically in a sterile Grade A environment to ensure product quality and safety. Both cleanrooms are equipped with automatic synthesis modules to facilitate labelling with carbon-11, fluorine-18, gallium-68, lutetium-177 or actinium-225. Synthesis Modules include Scintomics GRP, iPhase MultiSyn, Trasis MiniAIO, GE Tracerlab FXN, GE Tracerlab FXC, Ora NEPTIS and iQS system.<\/p>\n<h2>Quality Control Testing<\/h2>\n<p>A critical component of the CIRC infrastructure is our comprehensive Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring each product meets the highest standards of safety, purity and regulatory compliance. The laboratory is equipped with advanced instrumentation, including two HPLC systems, two Gas Chromatography units, dose calibrators, multi-channel analyzer, and other analytical tools to support rigorous in-process and final product testing<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" src=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/circ\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/QC1-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-959\" srcset=\"https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/circ\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/QC1-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/medicine.nus.edu.sg\/circ\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/QC1.jpg 463w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Blood Metabolite Analysis Laboratory<\/h2>\n<p>An analytical laboratory is adjacent to the PET Imaging suites, which includes a Perkin Elmer Wizard gamma counter, scales, centrifuges, and HPLC equipment for plasma sample analysis for unchanged radiotracer, enabling generation of input functions required for kinetic analysis and image quantification. Firstly, the Siemens Biograph mMR combined PET\/MR imaging system, capable of simultaneous PET and MR acquisition. The mMR also has multi-nuclear capability for alternative MR-active nuclei including carbon-13, phosphorus-31 and sodium-23.
