From his role as the UN Special Envoy on Ebola to his service as a senior advisor to the World Health Organization during the COVID-19 pandemic, he exemplified compassionate and principled leadership during some of the world\u2019s most challenging moments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"845\">At CIDER, we had the honour of engaging with Sir David through webinars, expert discussions, and most recently, through his insightful contribution to the leadership chapter of our textbook <em data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"766\">Infectious Disease Emergencies: Preparedness and Response<\/em>.
