She works in social, political, and moral philosophy. Her main research has been on the conceptual foundations of wrongful discrimination. Before joining CBmE, Shalom pursued her PhD in Philosophy at the Australian National University. She holds a Master's in Political Science from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Philosophy from Nanyang Technological University.
