The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most exciting advances of our era. The technology holds great promise for helping us make better, more informed and accurate decisions based on deep data aggregation beyond the capabilities of human minds. There is however, growing concern about the potential far-reaching impact of AI, and its ability to disrupt or even replace human labour and decision-making. But the limitations of AI, the layered complexity of human interactions and society, as well as our innate capacity to be creative and innovative, would suggest that AI’s future fundamental role would be to enhance and support human pursuits and endeavours.
