Speaker: Dr Leland Albright, Ex-Head, Paediatric Neurosurgery, Children Hospital of Pittsburgh, USA

Dr Leland Albright was the former chief of paediatric neurosurgery at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, USA and became professor of neurosurery in 1993. He left academic practice in the United States in 2010 and moved to Kenya, as a medical missionary, to set up a paediatric neurosurgery unit. Dr Albright and his colleagues performed more than 5,000 operations before he returned to the States in 2015. For his effort, he received the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Humanitarian Award in 2012.
