Department of Physiology - a Member of NUHS

Message from Head of Department

Physiology is the investigations of how organisms work. It requires the integration of knowledge gained from multidisciplinary approaches to the discovery of new information at the molecular, systems and particularly whole animal level. The essence of research and teaching in Physiology requires an enquiring mind anchored on a global and integrative perspective to the understanding of how things work in a living organism.

We are committed to help equip and infuse in our students a life-long love for learning, the excitement of discovery and a keen sense of curiosity about the chemical, physical and biological functions of life. In research, we work towards being a leading NUS global department where we aim to contribute significantly to the advancement of scientific and medical knowledge.
