STRESS AND MENTAL DISTRESS

Hopefully this page might help you learn more about stress,
coping with stress and put a smile on your face.

Slow down and take time to smell the flowers. Take 5 minutes to relax and be quiet; A good start to the day will help keep it good for the rest of the day.

Count your blessings, name them one by one - Think of 10 reasons to be happy with life. If you want to be sad, think of 10 reasons to be unhappy with life.

Think of something funny which has happened to you. Learn to laugh at yourself and stop being too "kiasu". Don't take things too seriously!

Get a little help from familiar friends but not the inappropriate ones like alcohol, drugs and food.

Make use of your five senses to soothe and invigorate yourself. Smiling exercise those facial muscles leading to some relaxation.

Take a walk, there's nothing like a bit of activity to get rid of your stress. Most people end up feeling a sense of achievement.
