Dr Ruby Yun Ju Huang
Senior Research Fellow (Clinician Scientist)
MD, PhD
Dr Ruby Huang is Clinician Scientist of Division of
Gynaecologic Oncology of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at
the National University Hospital and Senior Research Fellow at the
National University of Singapore. She obtained her MD degree from
National Taiwan University and completed the training of Obstetrics
& Gynaecology and subspecialty fellowship training of gynaecologic /
surgical oncology at National Taiwan University Hospital. She is
certified for Specialist of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Taiwan. She
completed her PhD doctoral thesis at National Taiwan University,
Taiwan in Graduate Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology. Her
postdoctoral study was conducted at Institute of Molecular and Cell
Biology, A*STAR in Singapore with Prof Jean Paul Thiery. She is a
recipient of the International Federation of Gynaecology and
Obstetrics (FIGO) / Bayer Schering Pharma (BSP) Fellowship for
Post-doctoral Research and Taiwan Merit Scholarships (TMS) Program.
She is also working as a clinician scientist in the Cancer Stem Cell
Programme of Cancer Science Institute (CSI) of Singapore.
Her current research interest is on the plasticity of
ovarian surface epithelium, ovarian cancer stem cells, and
oncogenomics of epithelial ovarian cancer.
