Dr Jeffrey Low

Dr Jeffrey Low is a Senior Consultant and Head of the
Division of Gynaecologic Oncology in the Dept of Obstetrics &
Gynaecology and the National Cancer Insitute, Singapore (NCIS). He
is also the Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of
Medicine, NUS. Dr Low graduated from NUS in 1987, obtained his O&G
specialist qualifications in 1993, and underwent subspecialty
training in gynaecologic oncology in Australia from 1997 to 1999. He
is presently also Visiting Consultant in Gynaecologic Oncology to
Singapore General Hospital.
Dr Low's interests are in preinvasive disease,
radical pelvic surgery, lymphoedema and in the organization of
multidisciplinary medical and paramedical care for women with
gynaecologic cancers. His research work includes phase 3
chemotherapy trials, HPV vaccine trials and investigating the use of
spectroscopy for realtime cervical screening.
Dr Low is the Past President of the Society for
Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology of Singapore (SCCPS). In 2006, he
initiated collaborative work between the WHO-IARC and Singapore for
the screening and prevention of cervical cancer in rural South
India.
