This is a two-day intensive hands-on workshop on the anatomy, prevention & management of complications in obstetric & gynaecologic surgery.

The Anatomy of Complications Workshop was first developed by gynaecologic oncologist Professor Ian G Hammond & urological surgeon Dr John Taylor in Perth, Western Australia in 2000. The original ACW website is located at
www.acworkshop.com. Since then, more than 50 workshops have been conducted in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. The first workshop was held in Singapore on 24 - 25 November 2007.

The main objective of the workshop is to improve understanding of the surgical principles, the approach & the relevant techniques of bowel, urological & vascular repair. The program is highly structured and involves interactive teaching, clinically based anatomic embalmed prosections, a surgical skills lab, live animal dissection & surgery and interactive case discussions.

It is held in the Advanced Surgery Training Centre, a state-of-the-art teaching facility spread over 1000 sq m, on level 2 of Kent Ridge Wing at the National University Hospital, Singapore. It will accommodate 12 participants to ensure maximal hands-on experience.

The workshop is open to
