| Thio Kok Foe & Choo Kim Beng Nursing Scholarships |
|
The scholarships are established by a donation from the D.S.Lee Foundation in honour of Dr Della Lee's parents.
Up to two (2) scholarships, valued at a minimum of S$7,000 each, can be awarded every year by a Selection Committee. A scholarship shall be tenable for the academic year in which it is awarded but scholarship recipients may re-apply in subsequent academic years.
In order to be eligible for the Scholarships, applicants must:

be either a Singapore citizen or permanent resident of Singapore; |
 |
be enrolled or accepted in the BSc (Nursing) at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore; |
 |
have good academic records and extra-curricular activities records; and |
 |
have a per capita household income* not exceeding One Thousand Five Hundred Singapore Dollars (S$1,500) |

(*Per capita household income = total gross income/number of members in the household. Total gross income of household includes income from parents, siblings, grandparents and other relatives in the immediate household as well as any income from government bodies or charitable organizations) |

| Fok Chu On Family Bursary |
|
First year nursing students can apply for the Fok Chu On Family Bursary which aims to support needy medical and nursing undergraduate students studying in the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine for the minimum duration of their course of study. For the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) programme, the minimum duration of the course of study excludes the Honours year. The value of each nursing bursary award is S$10,000 per annum.
The bursary is open to all first year NUS Bachelor of Science (Nursing) students, regardless of nationality. Up to four (4) bursaries can be awarded to the nursing students in each academic year. The bursary must be used to cover tuition fees and any balance thereof will be provided to the bursary recipients as a living allowance. The bursary recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, grant or award without the prior approval from the School.
In order for a nursing bursary recipient to continue to qualify for the bursary award each academic year, he/she must satisfy the continuation requirements for the programme and must not be on probation or be in receipt of an academic warning.
All first year nursing students will be given an application form during orientation.
