Admission Requirements

Application for Module NUR5802G in AY 2018/2019 Semester 2, will open from 1 October 2018 to 31 October 2018

Admission Requirements for Graduate Certificates

Applicant must:

  • i. be a registered nurse with valid practising certificate from Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
  • ii. have at least one (1) year work experience

Admission Requirements for Graduate Diploma in Community Health Nursing

  • iii. obtained a CAP ≥3.00 for each graduate certificate (NUR5801G & NUR5802G)
  • iv. possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited programme

Registered nurses who are not degree holders but have obtained a CAP ≥ 3.00 for each graduate certificate can still submit an application for admission to the graduate diploma programme to complete the graduate diploma requirement. However, such applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis by a panel comprising representatives from NUS Medicine and NUS Nursing.

In addition to the above requirements, admission to the course is also subject to the health requirements stipulated by the MOH. All successful applicants are required to undergo medical examination, which may be done by a registered medical practitioner or at the University Health Centre at NUS. The proposed screening and vaccination requirements for the students admitted into NUS will be updated according to the latest MOH guidelines.

Health Requirements

Admission to Graduate Certificate/Graduate Diploma in Community Health Nursing programme is subjected to the following health requirements stipulated by the Ministry of Health. Candidates being offered a placement in the programme are required to undergo a medical examination which may be done by any registered medical practitioner or at the University Health Centre (UHC). Table below shows the proposed screening and vaccination requirements for students admitted into NUS. These requirements will be according to the latest MOH guidelines.

How to Apply

Candidates interested in Graduate Certificate programme must complete the application here and submit the following documents via the application portal :

  • Copy of NRIC/Passport
  • Copy of Diploma in Nursing Transcripts and Certificate (if any)
  • Copy of Bachelor's Degree Transcripts and Certificate (if any)
  • Current Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate
