This three hour participatory workshop will explore and discuss clinical practice settings, education, regulation and policy as it relates to Advanced Practice Nursing (APN). Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas and offer strategies to promote the growth and visibility of APN role consistent with plans to enhance healthcare services in their own country.

Ms Schober is a Visiting Fellow at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. Ms Schober is from Indianapolis, Indiana, USA and has been a nurse practitioner for over 30 years, working both in Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Adult Primary Health Care. Ms Schober is well used to working collaboratively with other health professionals and has a long record of community-focused professional service both in the US and in El Salvador. |

As an International Healthcare Consultant she is an advocate for the increased presence of APNs in the healthcare workforce worldwide. In advisor and consultant capacities she has worked with over 20 countries to assess, explore and develop strategies for the implementation of APN roles. She was the first Chair and Coordinator of the ICN International NP/APN Network, Geneva, Switzerland. Ms Schober is the coauthor of the International Council of Nurses: Advanced Nursing Practice book written for the international nursing community. |
