Clinical - Division of HPB

The University Surgical Cluster is an established regional referral centre for diseases of the liver, pancreas and biliary system. Patients are cared for by a multidisciplinary team comprising of surgeons, gastroenterologists, interventional radiologists and oncologists, using diagnostic tools and advanced surgical technology. We offer liver transplantations and are now involved in pancreas transplantation for patients with renal failure and diabetes.

Gall bladder problems:

  • Laparoscopic removal of the gall bladder
  • SILS (Single incision laparoscopic surgery)
  • Laparoscopic removal of bile duct stones
  • ERCP (for stone removal, stenting for blockage)

Liver conditions (cysts, tumours, trauma):

  • Open surgical removal
  • Laparoscopic surgical removal
  • Liver transplantation
  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
  • TACE (Chemoembolisation)
  • Y90 treatment
