NUHS Neuroscience Phenotyping Core:
Opportunity for a Research Assistant

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

A talented and motivated research assistant is sought for the Neuroscience Phenotyping Core, National University of Singapore. Appointment will be under the Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include managing an animal colony, training or assisting core facility users in operating equipment, and running behavioural neuroscience and related assays.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

    • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Behavioural Neuroscience, Psychology, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
    • Interest in scientific research of neuropsychiatric disorders, neurological disorders, and behavioural neuroscience.
    • Experience in animal care and handling, animal colony management, behavioural and/or cognitive neuroscience will be preferred, though not required.
    • Independent mature worker who is well-organized, has the ability to multitask.
    • Possess good written and spoken communication skills.
    • Possess good interpersonal skills.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a 1 year contract position renewable subject to performance.
