Clinical Service & Training
Teck Yee is a Consultant Family Physician in the Division of Family Medicine (FM), University Medicine Cluster, National University Hospital and Assistant Professor in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
He completed his undergraduate studies (1995) and Masters in Family Medicine (2001) from National University of Singapore (NUS). He also obtained his Masters in Public Health (MPH) from NUS in 2009.
After completing his training in FM, he worked in Choa Chu Kang Polyclinic as a Family Physician from 2001 to 2004 and later as Head & Senior Family Physician from 2004 to 2006.
He was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship in 2005 to the Department of General Practice in Monash University, Melbourne where he learnt about General Practice teaching and improving preventive health in the primary-care setting.
He joined NUS as an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine in 2006 and is currently the undergraduate Education Director for the FM programme.
His other teaching areas include: communication with patients (module coordinator), community medicine and epidemiology.
He is an examiner for the Graduate Diploma of FM and lectures for the annual M.Med (FM) examination course.
His clinical work involves working as a Family Physician in a community setting at a polyclinic. He has more than 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to Disease Management Guidelines while he was with National Healthcare Group. He also actively participates in both local and international conferences, with numerous oral and poster presentations.
He is an invited reviewer for Annals Academy of Medicine Singapore, Singapore Medical Journal, BMC Public Health, BMC Medical Education and BMC Infectious Diseases.
