Qualifications
MBBS (Singapore) , MMed (Int Med), MRCP (UK), FAMS (Gastroenterology)

Dr Dan obtained his basic medical degree (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 1994. He served as a resident in the National University Hospital from 1999 to 2000.

Dr Dan went on to complete his basic speciality training and obtained a Master of Internal Medicine (MMED S'pore) in 1998. He also obtained the membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK, MRCP (UK) in 1998. He obtained his fellowship from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore ( FAMS S'pore) in 2003.

Research Interests

Dr Dan serves as a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, NUH. He has vast clinical interests in hepatology which includes viral hepatitis B and C, liver transplantation and liver cirrhosis. He is a research researcher and his research interests include liver progenitor cells and their therapeutic applications and pathogenesis and treatment targets in acute liver failure.
