Email: A_Merchant_Reshma@nuhs.com.sg

General Medicine specialists (also called general physicians, or internists) are doctors who provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and care to adult patients (18 years or older). Often a patient who has non-specific or atypical symptoms, or complex illness, first sees a general physician. General physicians manage patients in a holistic way, considering all psychosocial and medical factors to enhance the quality of life. They value the continuing care of all their patients. Accredited general physicians are trained in emergency medicine and critical care, and in the core subspecialties dealing with disorders of the nervous system, heart and lungs, the gut, kidneys, and the endocrine system. The Geriatric Medicine Section cares for persons older than about 70 years. Its goal is to restore an ill, disabled older person to optimum ability and, wherever possible, an independent life at home. Experts support the carers to handle declining capacity and end-of-life decisions. The Dermatology Section consists of a team of dermatologists, a senior laboratory technician, and a dermatology care nurse, that manages all inpatient dermatology inpatients and referrals. The Section also runs daily clinics and provides specialized investigations and treatments in all aspects of dermatological problems.

We are a team of dermatologists, a senior laboratory technician and a dermatology care nurse who manage all inpatient dermatology inpatients and referrals. We also run daily outpatient clinics and provide specialized investigations and treatments in all aspects of dermatological problems.
