Full time tenure-track positions are available at the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore for applicants with good research and teaching experience, in the areas of:
- Paediatric radiologist
- Neuroradiologist
- Interventional radiologist
The successful candidates will be able to work in a highly interactive environment to complement and further strengthen the department's active research programmes in cancer imaging and ablation, advanced medical image reconstruction and functional and molecular imaging.
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology has significant undergraduate and postgraduate teaching commitments, and also has access to graduate students in Engineering, Science and Medical Faculties through the Graduate Programme in Bio-engineering.
The successful candidates will have teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and graduate level students. Imaging facilities include MRI, CT, angiography, ultrasound and nuclear medicine. A state of the art 3T clinical MRI system will be installed in late 2006, and there is access to a state of the art 9.4T Varian animal MRI system. There is good collaboration with other faculties and departments within National University of Singapore, as well as the nearby Biopolis Complex at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.
NUS is now recognised as one of the top 25 Science and Engineering Universities, and there is exciting potential for development of cutting edge imaging technologies, particularly for clinical translation.
Applicants must possess a suitable medical degree, with an approved higher academic/professional qualification as well as suitable experience in teaching and research. Appointments are on a 3-year contract in the first instance and are renewable based on performance.
