  • The Sam Sanders basic science award: Pattern of mucosal inflammation in relationship to inhalant allergy in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis or nasal polyps. Given by the American Academy Otolaryngic Allergy/Foundation (AAOAF) Annual Meeting, September 18-20 2003, Orlando, USA
  • The Award for the 12th Yahya Cohen Memorial Lectureship (as co-author). Given by College of Surgeons, Singapore, 20 July 2007
  • The best poster award "Comparison of growth dynamics and cloning-forming efficiency of nasal epithelial stem/progenitor cells between inferior turbinate and nasal polyps". This price was given by the 15th Asian Research Symposium in Rhinology (ARSR), Singapore, 24-26 May, 2012. The first author is an exchange PhD student from Shandong University (China) who works for one year in NUS under the supervision of A/Prof Wang De Yun (the correspondent author of this poster).
  • The best abstract "Reduced growth dynamics and cloning-forming efficiency of nasal epithelial stem/progenitor cells in nasal polyps in vitro", given by the 31th European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI, 16-20 June, 2012, Geneva, Switzerland). The abstract was presented (the first author) by Ms. Yu Xuemin (Jointed PhD student from China) who is under his supervision.
